New Disney cruise ship to set sail with the longest roller coaster at sea and other 'firsts'

Scheduled to set sail in December 2025 from a new-to-Disney port in Singapore, Disney Adventure will be Disney Cruise Line's largest ship, which presents lots of opportunities for "firsts" for the line.
It will be the first to sail from Asia and the first to carry 6,700 passengers, as it's about 44% larger than the line's current largest ship, Disney Wish.
Today, Disney announced some additional firsts, including Disney's first roller coaster at sea, Ironcycle Test Run. This roller coaster will take you 30 feet above the deck and is also being touted as the longest roller coaster at sea at 820 feet. (Three Carnival Cruise Line ships have slightly shorter roller coaster tracks on their top decks.)
Disney Adventure will also offer seven themed areas: Disney Imagination Garden, Toy Story Place, San Fransokyo Street, Town Square, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Discovery Reef and Marvel Landing.
In Marvel Landing, you'll find three all-new Disney Cruise Line attractions, including the previously mentioned Ironcycle Test Run, plus Pym Quantum Racers and Groot Galaxy Spin. Pym Quantum Racers is a ride where guests can drive miniature cars set on an oversized track. Groot Galaxy Spin will "take guests on an out-of-this-world ride onboard a Nova Corp Bass Jumper, set to an awesome mix of upbeat music," according to Disney.
In some other firsts for Disney Cruise Line, San Fransokyo Street will feature an arcade and a family gaming lounge, including Hiro Training Zone, an immersive training simulator.
Like on other Disney ships, Disney Adventure will offer rotational dining where your serving team rotates through the restaurants with you each evening; however, unlike on other Disney ships, you won't rotate through all the included restaurants. This is due to the sheer number of guests on board and the need for additional dining facilities.
For example, passengers will dine at one of two onboard "entertainment restaurants": Navigator's Club, which is described as honoring the tradition of exclusive captain's table meals, and Hollywood Spotlight Club, which leans into the golden age of Hollywood vibes.
Guests will also dine at one of two "magically animated restaurants": Animator's Palate or Animator's Table, which transition from black and white to full color throughout the meal.
Disney Adventure, like its fleetmates, will offer two premium restaurants for an additional charge. Palo Trattoria, an adults-only venue, will feature Italian fare. Mike & Sulley's, a new dining concept for the cruise line, will serve Asian cuisine. In another first for Disney Cruise Line, this extra-fee restaurant will welcome diners of all ages.

When it comes to cabins, most rooms will feature Disney's popular split-bathroom concept so multiple people can get ready at once.
Disney Adventure will also feature concierge-level staterooms. Booking that level of accommodations will include access to not only a lounge that offers included beverages and snacks throughout the day but also access to "first-class spa and fitness facilities," luxury shopping and exclusive areas.
Bottom line
There's a lot going on at Disney Cruise Line, including tripling the size of the fleet from the four core ships it sailed with for many years. Disney Adventure, originally ordered for Asia-based Dream Cruises before being purchased by Disney after construction began, gives the cruise line an opportunity to try out new entertainment and dining concepts since it's so big.
Vacationers looking to book a cruise out of Singapore can review pricing and sailing date information starting Nov. 14, 2024. Sailings will begin Dec. 15, 2025, so fans have a long time to dream about and get excited for Disney Adventure's new attractions.
